- The N-1 Winter Jacket is said to have been officially adopted in 1943 and was delivered in large quantities in 1944, but this NAF1168 was a prototype manufactured just before that. NAF stands for Naval Aircraft Factory. It is said that this jacket was made for workers at an aircraft factory exclusively for the Navy. The NAF1168 features an alpaca liner, a button and zipper front, and a hem with hanging loops for attaching setups and equipment, and even the cuffs have alpaca. The fact that it continued to be worn as a Navy deck jacket for a long period after World War II shows how popular this type was with the crews.

This jacket is a faithful reproduction of the vintage jacket based on the specs at that time, so please handle the parts with care. In particular, the zipper may be damaged if it is forcibly raised or lowered. When pulling up the zipper, be sure to pull up the metal part of the zipper slowly and carefully. Please do not pull the leather string forcibly.
