• Tailor Toyo's Limited Edition Sukajan (Souvenir Jacket), launching in January 2026. The appeal of this piece is the bright, "golden" colored thread, setting it apart from other vintage Sukajan. And its most distinctive feature is the dragon embroidery, densely coiled across the sleeves. While the back embroidery is typically the focal point of a Sukajan, it's no exaggeration to say the sleeve dragon takes center stage on this jacket. The dragon coils its body around the entire arm, from shoulder to cuff, featuring large-scale embroidery that creates a highly dynamic and rare design.
  The base is a mid-1950s vintage Sukajan. The "bamboo leaves and tiger" of the back, roaring on the rocky terrain of rivers, is a traditional Japanese motif. Still, the bamboo is embroidered in blue thread and the rocks in red thread, creating a vibrant finish where the three primary colors stand out vividly against the black velveteen. Additionally, the “Japan” letters are also red in this work, with the rare color combination of the embroidery accentuated by the solid white ribs.
  The reversible side features the so-called Japan Map pattern, with the Japanese map as the main design. The blue sateen fabric, evoking blue skies and the vast ocean, beautifully contrasts with the yellow-based embroidery and ribs. While the eagle often depicted alongside the map is usually deformed, this piece realistically depicts even the gradation of its wings with meticulous stitching. Among the many Japan Map patterns, this embroidery stands out as particularly exquisite and luxurious.
  The body construction is also unique, differing from standard velveteen Sukajan by omitting the inner padding. Tailor Toyo has faithfully reproduced the rare detail with no quilting stitches, although it is the reversible Sukajan with velveteen and sateen. The special specifications and luxurious embroidery of this Sukajan are fitting for the New Year's first sale, marking the occasion for its first-ever reproduction.
