"MOSQUITO"
- This Type B-15C(MOD.) with the "Mosquito patch and paint" is a reproduction by "Buzz Rickson's" based on vintage jackets. The mission of the "Mosquito" was to locate enemy ground installations and enemy troop movements, drop smoke bombs to ensure that they could attack any targets they found, and radio the ground units to the fighter bombers circling overhead. The name "Mosquito" was given to them because they were literally like mosquitos, unpredictable as to when and where they would appear, and were loathed and feared by the North Korean forces. A famous story that has been passed on to the next generation is that in February 1954, during her honeymoon in Japan, Marilyn Monroe visited the K-47 air base in Chuncheon, Korea to entertain soldiers and put on a show titled "Anything Goes." The US military prepared a special B-15C flight jacket decorated with the "Mosquito" patch for her.

This jacket is a faithful reproduction of the vintage jacket based on the specs at that time, so please handle the parts with care. In particular, the zipper may be damaged if it is forcibly raised or lowered. When pulling up the zipper, be sure to pull up the metal part of the zipper slowly and carefully. Please do not pull the leather string forcibly.
