"ROARING TIGER × EAGLE"
- The main front side is an early 1950s work depicting a tiger with a captivating appearance sitting on a crimson acetate body. The moderately deformed embroidery of the tiger is larger than that of other vintage Sukajans (Souvenir Jackets), giving it a strong impact. The characteristic typeface of "JAPAN" and the combination of the red and off-white body with single-color black ribs are also rare points.
The reversible side features an eagle spreading its wings in blooming cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms are often depicted along with eagles in vintage Sukajans, but this work is characterized by its detailed and numerous depictions of cherry blossoms. The light-colored cherry blossoms stand out against the black acetate body, expressing the Japanese aesthetic that tickled the hearts of American soldiers at the time. - Main/Lining: 100％ Acetate
