- This flight jacket with patches, type L-2 is faithfully reproduced by "Buzz Rickson's", based on vintage jackets. The 452nd Fighter Day Squadron was established in 1942 during World War II. The squadron was deployed to the European front and temporarily closed in 1945. In 1954, when the Cold War began to darken, the Squadron was re-established at Foster AFB, Texas, under the Tactical Air Command. Initially deployed with the F-86 Sabre, it was converted to the state-of-the-art F-100 Supre the following year in 1955. This contributed to an increased military presence against the eastern camps. This patch custom is a gorgeous one with a large patch on the front of the jacket, which still retains the scent of WWII.

This jacket is a faithful reproduction of the vintage jacket, so please handle the parts with care. In particular, the zipper may be damaged if it is forcibly raised or lowered. When pulling up the zipper, be sure to pull up the metal part of the zipper slowly and carefully. Please do not pull the leather string forcibly.
