COWBOY PANTS (WW2 Model)
- "WAREHOUSE" has reproduced the cowboy pants known as the model during World War II. The 1940s was a transitional period in which jeans shed their work color and became fashionable clothing. These cowboy pants also have a somewhat rustic feel, while at the same time giving the impression of the change to the riders' model that followed. The pockets had changed from the large, rounded workwear-like pockets of the past to a shapelier design. Also, by omitting the back strap, the first step toward stylish jeans was taken. The fabric is a newly developed denim woven with 7.2-count warp yarn and 7-count weft yarn. Later riders used left twill, but before the 1940s, right twill was used. These jeans faithfully reproduce the fabric of that time. In addition, a special indigo color is used to achieve the distinctive fading typical of bluish cowboy pants. No detailing unique to the World War II era is left out, such as the omission of rivets on the watch pocket, using ready-made donut buttons, and the slightly irregular bar-tack.
