- This leather flight jacket is reproduced by "Buzz Rickson's", based on vintage Aero Leather Clothing jackets. Aero Leather Clothing, which began producing the A-2 in the late 1930s, boasts the largest number of deliveries among A-2 contractors (seven times). This confirms that Aero Leather Clothing was an excellent manufacturer that had long possessed both reliable technology and production capacity and could provide a stable supply of A-2s. The original jacket of this A-2 is the fifth production lot manufactured by Aero Leather Clothing in 1941. The previous four models had a neckband, but from this model onward, it was no longer attached. Since this model uses the same pattern for the left and right fronts, the pocket positions have been moved horizontally to maintain balance when viewed from the front. Looking at the pocket position spacing from the left and right side lines, we can see that the pockets are attached at different positions on the left and right sides. The characteristic of this A-2 is that the round part at the bottom of the pocket is narrow, so the pocket shape is close to a rectangle, and the stitch width of the front placket is also narrow, giving it a fearless look. The snap buttons used are ring stud type, and since round caps are not used for the top part, donut-shaped rubbing and fades will appear when the A-2 is worn in. The A-2 with red rib-knit was produced by only Aero Leather Clothing among the 39 lots produced by 18 contractors. The A-2 with the beautiful contrast between the dark seal brown of the body and the red rib-knit is a symbol of Aero Leather Clothing.

This jacket is a faithful reproduction of the vintage jacket, and parts such as the zipper are revived based on the specifications at that time, so please handle the parts with care. In particular, the zipper may be damaged if it is forcibly raised or lowered. When pulling up the zipper, be sure to pull up the metal part of the zipper slowly and carefully. Please do not pull the leather string forcibly.
