Buzz Rickson's M-65 "180th Army Aviation Co." BR14613
M-65 "180th Army Aviation Co."
The 180th Air Force was formed at Fort Benning, Georgia, on March 17, 1966, shortly after the Vietnam War began. In June of the same year, they moved to Dong Ba Thin in South Vietnam, and until they transferred to Europe in 1973, they were on an important task of carrying out the logistics of a friendly army by flying "CH-47 Chinook".
All patches and embroidery on the back are locally made, which is a wonderful piece of three-dimensional embroidery. A large humorous Squadron mark is embroidered on the back, showing the chinook, giving it a very powerful finish.
