"WHITE SNAKE x JAPAN MAP ＆ SNAKE"

• This special edition Sukajan(Souvenir Jacket) is associated with the snake, the Japanese zodiac sign for the year of the snake, 2025. "Toyo Enterprises", founded in 1965, is celebrating its 60th anniversary, and with the subject of “Sukajan,” which can be said to be the company's roots, this work is not a reproduction of a vintage, but an original design embroidered.
  The main side features a white snake standing in a bamboo grove at night, shining divinely in the light of the moon. It is an elaborate specification that uses three different types of embroidery threads for the white depiction, with two colors for the snake's body and a different color thread for the bamboo. The leaves are expressed in a gradation of two green colors. Vivid red is used for the snake's eyes and tongue in the embroidery composed of pale-colored threads, and red is inserted in the center of the pattern to emphasize the presence of the white snake. The body is monotone black and white at first glance, but the piping is green and white, and the ribs also have green lines, which together with the green of the embroidery create an overall balance.
  The reversible side is inspired by spring, depicting a Japan map surrounded by blooming cherry blossoms and a white snake coiled as if to protect Japan. Looking at the depiction of the snake's scales, the main side expresses shading by layering horizontal embroidery (Sewing machine for embroidery with a needle that swings left and right), but on this side, the embroidery is removed and the black of the base color is used to express a three-dimensional effect. The ribs are turquoise blue, which is rare even in the vintage world. The design is full of originality backed up by the experience of vintage reproduction cultivated over the years.
• “KOSHO & CO.” SPECIAL EDITION
  The “Special Edition” collection is a superior version of Tailor Toyo Sukajan that is an absolute reproduction of vintage souvenir jackets originated in the early days of post WWII. The intricate artworks are depicted in details by the experienced craftsmen with the vintage embroidery machines. The 100% wool rib that is purposely knitted loose by the primitive knitting machine in the same manner the rib of vintage jackets was done. The zipper with two pullers meant for reversible jacket is duplicated by using the 50-year-old vintage fastener machines. The special jacket has a woven label of “Kosho & Co.” which is a predecessor company of Toyo Enterprise, all the details of the day built in.
