- "TAILOR TOYO" has reproduced this Vietnam jacket based on the vintage jacket custom-ordered by U.S. soldiers stationed in Vietnam in the mid-1960s. The dragons on the sleeves and the tiger on the right chest are typical of the Vietnam jacket design, but the left chest features an unusual two-color “HAPPINESS” design instead of the kanji, “Fuku (means Fortune). Below that, the stars and stripes and the flag of the South Vietnamese army are crossed, and a parachute troop motif is embroidered on the back. And this aged model reproduces the fabric and embroidery threads that have faded in color over time. The rayon-blend cotton twill fabric has been processed to give it a supple texture and drape, allowing the wearer to enjoy a vintage look and feel from the time it is new.
