The original is a special piece custom-ordered by a crew member of the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier CVA-34. The right chest features an anchor embroidered using freehand machine embroidery, while the left chest bears an “N” representing the Navy, rendered in sagara embroidery in Old English-style lettering.\u003cbr\u003e\n        In the 1950s, embroidery shops with exceptional skills were scattered around U.S. military bases throughout Japan. American servicemen stationed in Japan frequently visited these shops to commission custom Sukajan (Souvenir Jackets) featuring their own original designs.
