- This Type L-2A with patches is faithfully reproduced by "Buzz Rickson's" based on vintage jackets. The 59th Fighter Interceptor Squadron has been a prestigious squadron since its establishment in 1940. It was reorganized in 1948 as a specialized interceptor squadron under the Air Defense Command. In 1952, the squadron was the first in the entire Air Force to be equipped with the "Lockheed F-94B Starfire," the most advanced all-weather night fighter interceptor at the time, and it continued its mission as a shield against the threats of the Cold War. The patch design depicts a bat, showing the pride of the unit that was the first to receive the state-of-the-art aircraft for night combat, and the unit motto is "Freicudan Du" (Scottish Gaelic, English translation: Black Watch), a phrase that reflects the awareness of interception in night combat. The nameplate is made in the same color as the patch, the yellow of the squadron's color, and the custom patch is a very gorgeous finish.

This jacket is a faithful reproduction of the vintage jacket, and parts such as zipper are revived, based on the specifications at that time, so please handle the parts with care. In particular, the zipper may be damaged if it is forcibly raised or lowered. When pulling up the zipper, be sure to pull up the metal part of the zipper slowly and carefully. Please do not pull the leather string forcibly.
